Chocolate Cake Mix Cookies

Ingredients:

  • One 18.5 ounce package of chocolate cake mix
  • Eight tablespoons or a stick of unsalted butter that is melted
  • A large-size egg

First, you need to preheat the oven to its exact temperature of 350 degree Fahrenheit. In a large mixing bowl or a bowl with a stand mixer, try to combine all the ingredients. Beat them on low setting for about 2-3 minutes or until the mixture will form a thick dough. Make the dough into one-inch balls and put them two inches apart on baking sheets with no grease. Place at the center rack inside the preheated oven and bake for approximately fifteen minutes or until cracks will form at the surface of every cookie. Take the cookies out of the oven and let them cool for about 5 minutes. After that, you can transfer them to a wire cooling rack to allow them to cool completely for about thirty minutes.

Cake Mix Cookie #1

  • One package of Pillsbury Plus Cake Mix of any flavor
  • One half cup of softened margarine or butter
  • One egg

All the ingredients must be combined at low speed until they are moistened thoroughly.  Put rounded tablespoons at two inches apart into the cookie sheets which are ungreased.  At 350 degrees Fahrenheit in temperature, bake the cookies for approximately 9 to 12 minutes. Cool them for two minutes and remove from the pan.

Tips: If you use a chocolate cake mix, add two tablespoons of water to the ingredients

If you want, you can also stir in a cup of chocolate chips or a half cup of chopped nuts.

You can also frost cookies using your favorite flavor of frosting if desired.

For sandwich cookies, you can spread frosting between two cookies.

Cake Mix Cookie #2

Five years ago, I was able to discover a recipe about German Chocolate Cake Mix Cookies.  Since then, I have been using that recipe and was able to make a lot of different cookies with it.  I simply love the versatility as well as the convenience of making this recipe.

  • A box of cake mix of any variety
  • A cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips which can be replaced with caramel or peanut butter chips or both can be used
  • One half to a cup of oatmeal
  • One half cup of oil
  • Two eggs which are slightly beaten
  • One half cup of raisins
  • One teaspoon of vanilla
  • Nuts

Take note that the last three ingredients are optional

As always, preheat the oven at 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Use a large bowl to combine all the ingredients and mix well. If the mixture is very stiff, add a little amount of water. Put the dough in rounded teaspoonfuls at two inches apart into the cookie sheets which are ungreased. Bake the cookies for about 8 to 10 minutes or until they are set. Let them cool for a minute before you remove them from the cookie sheets.

If the altitude is more than 3500 feet, you can add one fourth cup of flour to the dry cake mix.

Variation: Utilize a white cake mix and then add a pudding mix. I personally add strawberry in order to have pink cookies. If you make use of pudding, you have to add a few amount of water approximately one fourth cup. There is a tendency that the pudding will make the cookies sweeter.

Cake Mix Cookies #3

  • One or nine ounce package of yellow cake mix or you can have your favorite flavor
  • Two third cup of oatmeal
  • One half cup of melted butter or margarine
  • One egg
  • One half cup of either peanut butter chips, chocolate chips, M&Ms or butterscotch chips according to your preference

In order to have a nutritious cookie, you can replace raisins in place of the chips.

The exact temperature for preheating the oven is at 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Beat oatmeal, egg, butter and cake mix in a mixing bowl.  Then stir in the chips. Put tablespoonful of dough at two inches apart into the ungreased baking sheets. Bake the cookies for approximately ten to twelve minutes or until they are lightly brown in color.  Remove to wire racks at once for cooling.
